The Beauty for Ashes retreat brought home so many things I knew, but had taken for granted as of late. God's unending love is so very present in our everyday life and even more so in time of trials. He accepts us with all his heart even if at times we are weak. It seems that at those times in our lives when we are weakest is when he is the strongest. This retreat brought that home earnestly.

When we hosted Beauty for Ashes at our church, I was thinking about the organizational details, since I was in charge of the event. As I engaged in Ellen's teaching during the day, I was blessed beyond measure as she spoke from her heart. The Lord gave her an anointed message for all of us in attendance. During the afternoon, when we were invited to participate in a personal act of surrender, the Lord gave me release from an area in my life from which I did not even know I needed freeing! What a blessing! To this day, I have the tangible gift I received as a reminder of God's grace and mercy in my life. Praise His holy Name! Thank you, Ellen, for your willingness to be used of God to bless and comfort women, in the precious name of Jesus.
ADA FOWLER, WOMEN'S MINISTRY COORDINATOR - CROSS ROAD CHURCH - FLORENCE, OR
Beauty for Ashes, with Ellen, was a day of renewal, yes, but also a day of reflection, as I learned more about many of the ladies of the Bible and their Promises, how they relate to my daily happenings and love of Jesus.
DOROTHY WEAVER - KALISPELL, MT

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN PUTTING ON AN EVENT?
A Beauty for Ashes event is a lot of fun for a group of any size to coordinate, but it does require teamwork and most groups opt to involve both the men and the women of the organization in certain aspects of the day. We are here to help you with guidelines and advice. Please request this upon applying for an event.
WHAT DOES A BEAUTY FOR ASHES EVENT COST TO PUT ON?
The cost varies with the complexity of the event. Lunch is to be provided by the host group, and advertising costs are determined by the group and its budget. As for the speaker's fee, Ellen leaves the amount of the honorarium up to the group, though she does sometimes request travel expenses, as well. She does ask that a book table be provided so she can sell her books, which she supplies.
